This article forms part of our How Our BPO Service Works page, our complete guide to working with Felcorp Support.
Felcorp assumes all the legal, compliance and administrative requirements of all HR and employee entitlements to ensure that staff and Felcorp have the necessary protections and policies in place to ensure employment stability.
Pre-Employment Screening
Before any staff member begins working on a client engagement, Felcorp conducts comprehensive pre-employment screening. This is non-negotiable and applies uniformly across all placements.
Screening covers:
- Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks: identity verification against AML compliance standards, consistent with the requirements clients face in their own regulated environments
- Background checks: criminal history, prior employment verification and reference checks conducted by Felcorp management
- Identity verification: government-issued identity document verification to confirm the identity of each staff member prior to engagement
A client engaging Felcorp can be confident that every person who accesses their data and systems has been verified to the same high compliance standards applied across the entire operation.
Confidentiality and NDAs
Every Felcorp staff member executes a comprehensive confidentiality agreement and non-disclosure agreement as a condition of employment. These agreements are structured with local legal enforceability meaning they are not simply acknowledgment forms but binding legal instruments enforceable in the jurisdiction where the staff member is employed. Felcorp has legal powers in India with abilities to litigate staff on demonstrable breach of confidentiality.
The confidentiality framework covers:
- Client data and client financial information
- Business systems, processes and intellectual property accessed in the course of employment
- Client identities and engagement details
- Post-employment obligations to prevent data exfiltration after a staff member leaves
Copies of each staff member's Non-Disclosure Agreement will be provided to the client upon an engagement commencement.
Employment Entitlements and Payroll Compliance
All employment entitlements for Felcorp staff members are managed entirely by Felcorp through its local subsidiary structures, designed to comply with the relevant employment laws and tax obligations in the jurisdiction where the staff member is based.
This includes:
- Salary payment and payroll processing
- Tax withholding and remittance obligations
- Statutory leave entitlements, including annual leave, sick leave and public holidays
- Employment insurance and workers compensation obligations where applicable
- All HR compliance requirements under local employment law
The client carries no employer liability for the offshore staff member. This is a critical distinction from direct employment or Employer of Record (EOR) arrangements, where the client may retain certain employer obligations or risks. In a Felcorp engagement, those obligations remain with Felcorp.
Office, Equipment and Infrastructure
All physical office space, computer hardware, peripheral equipment and workplace infrastructure required for the staff member's daily operations are provided by Felcorp. This includes:
- Secure, monitored office premises with controlled physical access
- Computer hardware configured to Felcorp's security specifications
- Network infrastructure and data security controls
- Any software or system access required for the role, where Felcorp's infrastructure is used
Software and systems specific to the client's business — such as financial planning platforms, accounting systems or practice management tools — are provided by the client, either through existing licence arrangements extended to the offshore staff member, or through new licences procured by the client for that purpose.
Businesses consistently underestimate how much time and actual cost principals and managers spend on HR and employment administration for local staff. It is not a particularly fun or exciting task either. This is one of the hidden returns of a BPO engagement that never appears on a simple cost comparison.

FAQs
Who pays for the software licences the offshore staff member uses?
Software specific to the client's business environment such as any financial planning ,accounting and industry specific tools are the client's responsibility to licence. Felcorp provides the hardware infrastructure and workplace environment. If you are unsure how to extend existing software licences to offshore staff, raise this during onboarding and Felcorp can advise on the process.
What happens to the employment agreement if the engagement ends?
If an engagement concludes, we do not necessarily terminate the staff's employment. Felcorp continues to take on liability of payroll. The client carries no direct obligation in relation to the staff member's employment exit. The ongoing confidentiality obligations under the NDA remain in effect indefintely.
Does Felcorp's screening meet the compliance requirements of regulated financial services businesses?
Felcorp's screening framework is designed specifically for the financial services sector and aligns with the AML and identity verification standards that regulated businesses operate under. For specific compliance queries relevant to your regulatory environment, review the security page or raise them directly during the consultation process.
