How does Intelliflo access get set up?

Intelliflo is cloud-based, so there is no VPN or remote desktop required. Unlike AdviserLogic or Xplan where shared logins are common, Intelliflo uses dedicated user seats with individual credentials.

Your practice provisions a separate user account for the Felcorp paraplanner within your Intelliflo environment. This gives you full control over permissions, visibility and audit trails from day one. Provisioning typically takes 1 to 2 business days.

Your practice must also set up a firm-controlled email address for Felcorp access. Do not use a Felcorp-provided email. The practice retains ownership of the access credentials at all times.

How does Felcorp learn your templates and preferences?

During onboarding, Felcorp requests sample SOAs to understand your practice's output format and quality standards.

Intelliflo's template system is still evolving. Some practices use Intelliflo's in-platform document tools, others rely on Word-based templates and many use a mix of both. Felcorp works with whichever approach your practice uses, but the template mapping phase needs more attention than it would on a platform where the template ecosystem is well established.

What should you expect during the trial?

The trial follows Felcorp's standard paraplanning trial framework, but there is one thing to be upfront about: Intelliflo is a newer platform in the Australian market and our experience base on it is still developing.

We have worked with a small number of Intelliflo practices so far. The strategy modelling tools and advice workflow sequencing are not as refined as the more established platforms, which means the paraplanner's ramp-up takes longer. Expect the trial to produce fewer completed SOAs than you would see on Xplan or AdviserLogic. This reflects the extra time needed to navigate a less established workflow, not a quality issue.

The SOP is built during this period and typically takes 1 month. On Intelliflo engagements the SOP phase often runs slightly longer because more time is spent mapping workarounds and documenting platform-specific steps that would be intuitive on other systems.

What do the first jobs look like?

Felcorp starts with simpler cases to map your file structure and locate key information systems. On Intelliflo, expect the early jobs to surface more platform-specific questions than they would on other systems. The paraplanner will be learning the platform's workflow quirks at the same time as learning your practice's specific preferences.

Once a couple of simple cases are completed successfully, complexity ramps up progressively. Expect 2 to 3 times more correspondence on early jobs compared to steady-state. Full operational speed on Intelliflo typically takes 6 to 8 weeks, compared to around 4 weeks on Xplan or AdviserLogic.

What mistakes should you avoid?

The standard outsourcing risks apply: disorganised file structures, poor data collection and uncoordinated submission channels all magnify under outsourcing.

On Intelliflo specifically, the additional risk is overestimating the platform's current capabilities. Intelliflo is being developed rapidly and is a genuine contender long term, but some workflow areas are not yet as mature as Xplan or AdviserLogic. Build your SOP around what actually works today, not what the roadmap promises.

How is Intelliflo different from other platforms for getting started?

The onboarding methodology is identical across platforms. Where Intelliflo differs is maturity. The platform is UK-born and relatively new to the Australian market. The advice workflow sequencing and strategy modelling tools are still catching up.

The upside is development pace. Intelliflo is shipping features faster than most established platforms and the gap is narrowing. Practices that invest in building their Intelliflo workflows now are positioning themselves well for when the platform matures further.
